The Sherline Milling Machines can perform all of the tasks and operations that a large commercial machine can perform. Operations such as milling, fly cutting, precision drilling, and boring are all routine tasks for the Sherline Mill. A Sherline Mill is an extremely rigid, accurate tool which accomplishes tough machining jobs with ease.

Because of the tremendous number of operations that can be performed on a vertical mill, it is commonly regarded as the most important tool in the modern machine shop... the work horse of the industry.

Model 5000 (5100)

The Model 5000 (5100 metric) features a solid 10" (254 mm) aluminum base, precision machined dovetail slides with adjustable gibs, permanently lubricated spindle bearings, adjustable preload antibacklash feed screws on all axes, two 1-5/8" (41 mm) laser engraved aluminum handwheels, one 2-1/2" (63 mm) laser engraved handwheel with thrust bearings, and many other features. Model 5500 (5510)

The Model 5500 (5510 metric) comes equipped with the same features and standard equipment with the exception of upgraded adjustable "zero" handwheels. A 2" (51mm) adjustable "zero" handwheel is featured on the "X" and "Y" axis, while a 2-1/2" (63mm) adjustable "zero" handwheel with bearings is featured on the "Z" axis column.

Model 5400 (5410)

The Deluxe Model 5400 (5410 metric) comes equipped with all of the standard features upgraded to include a laser engraved 12" (305mm) solid aluminum base, laser engraved scales on the "X" axis table, 2" (51mm) handwheels on the "X" and "Y" axes, a 2-1/2" (63mm) adjustable "zero" handwheel with ball bearing thrust on the "Z" axis, a mill headstock spacer, and drill chuck and drawbar. Model 2000 (2010)

The Model 2000 (2010 metric) is a deluxe 8-Direction vertical milling machine. The column has been redesigned to provide four more directions of movement compared to other SHERLINE mills. The mill base has been extended an additional 2" over the Model 5400/5410 to accommodate the pivoting mechanisms and to take advantage of the increased swing movements. All handwheels are resettable to zero at any time. It includes the same laser engraved scales on the base and table which come on the Model 5400/5410 Deluxe Mill Package. Also included is a headstock spacer block, hex adjustment keys, 1/4" Jacobs Drill Chuck and key.
