"L'il Bertha" was developed for use as
a crucible furnace for melting aluminum, zinc die-cast alloy, and
other low temperature alloys. It is a resistance element furnace.
Melting, forging, heat treating, burnout and calcining of investment
molds, carburizing, tempering, enameling, firing ceramics, roasting
and many other jobs can be done with ease. It is so economical to
build that the cost might be considered trifling, so there is really
nothing to prevent you from having as many as you can use for a
